So the net result is almost all your drum hits are pretty close to 127. The lightest I can tap on the Launchkey gets me to 70-80 and then it cuts out, meaning it doesn't register a hit. On the Launchkey tapping with the same force that gives me 80ish on the Launchpad gives me 115ish on the Launchkey. In fact on the Launchpad X I've never once been tempted to adjust the velocity setting.

The drum pads have the opposite problem, they are too hot, I have a Launchpad X and in the medium velocity setting I can taps lightly, firmly, hard and get pretty much a full range of velocity values. I found most velocity issues could be calibrated and adjusted with the controls. White keys are excessively low velocity numbers, black keys are consistently 20-30 points more.
